Who knew rolling around on the bathroom floor could be so much fun?
Started a painting tonight. Second painting of the day. Split personalities: one when the girls are awake that just tames the chaos, the other when they are asleep is much calmer. It’ll be interesting to see where this one goes when I work on it during the day tomorrow.
"I have to water Emma so she can grow big."
“Grow big, Emma. Grow big so you can talk.”
I never used the “cry it out” method to get my children to sleep.
I’m using it now over breakfast. I have determined that there is nothing I can do to comfort my daughter over the fact that her chair cannot be scooted all the way in to touch the table if she’s sitting in it. How long can she cry about this? To be determined. Some things she just needs to come to terms with on her own.
3.5 is hard y’all.
Watermelon-eating dance break from water table play on this gorgeous afternoon.
Oh. And Emma fed a buffalo yesterday… No big deal.
She’s finished. Feels good.
Post-work painting. See also: What happens when Monica drinks coffee too late. I’ll probably regret this when Emma wakes at 5am.
Sketching snapdragons in the bathroom. Because sometimes bath time is my only “free time” to get anything accomplished. Totally normal. Right?
